Frequently asked questions

Does Merge PDF redesign or OCR my pages?

No. This tool concatenates PDFs in the order you choose. It copies pages as they are. It does not OCR scanned pages, restyle layouts, or rebuild text.

What happens with a password-protected PDF?

Merge stops with a clear error. Remove the password in another app, then try again. Files are never uploaded.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. pdf-lib runs in your browser, the merged file is built locally, and Deskutil never receives the files.

Can I change the order of PDFs?

Yes. Selected files appear in a list. Use up and down to reorder, or remove a file before merging.

What file do I download?

A single PDF named merged.pdf. Pages from each source file are appended in list order. Page size and content are copied, not redesigned.
