Image Resizer

Resize a JPG, PNG, or WebP image in your browser. See the original width and height, enter new dimensions, keep aspect ratio if you want, then download JPEG or PNG. Nothing is uploaded. HEIC is not this tool.

This redraws your image on a canvas at the size you choose. JPEG output is lossy. PNG output keeps a transparent background when the source is PNG. HEIC is not supported. Nothing is uploaded.

Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP file, or drop it here. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use Image Resizer

Choose or drop one JPG, PNG, or WebP file. Original width and height appear after the file loads. Enter a new width and height. Keep aspect ratio is on by default so the other side updates with you. Then Resize image and download. HEIC files are rejected. Nothing is sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions

How does Image Resizer change dimensions?

It draws your image onto a canvas at the width and height you enter, then exports that canvas. Keep aspect ratio is on by default so one side follows the other. This is a redraw, not a lossless pixel copy.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. The file stays on your device. Canvas encoding runs in your browser and Deskutil never receives the image.

Does this support HEIC?

No. This tool accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP only. HEIC belongs to a later tool.

What format do I download?

JPEG sources download as .jpg. PNG sources download as .png so transparency can be kept. WebP sources download as .jpg. Nothing is uploaded.

What happens if I uncheck keep aspect ratio?

You can set width and height independently. The image is stretched to those pixels on the canvas. Turn keep aspect ratio back on to lock the original proportions again.
